Divi

Much like Elementor, Divi is a drag-and-drop style page editor for WordPress, meant to speed up the workflow of designing elegant webpages with WordPress.

One advantage that Elementor has over Divi is pricing; Divi runs on a subscription model, with yearly access to the full plugin priced at $89, and lifetime access priced at $249. The pro version of Elementor costs $49 for use with one site, $99 for three sites, and $199 for unlimited use. Elementor also features a free version with limited features.

While Elementor is suited better for designers who want to work with the included pre-existing themes, Divi is a superior choice for designers who want to create their own themes and layouts due to Divi’s wealth of third party editing products and features.

Beaver Builder

Similar to Elementor, Beaver Builder is a drag-and-drop page editor that aims to quicken and simplify the process of editing webpages with WordPress. 

One advantage that Elementor has over Beaver Builder is its availability of inline text editing options, of which Beaver Builder lacks. Beaver Builder also falters in its availability of page-editing widgets; the number of which it offers falls behind both Divi and Elementor. However, Beaver Builder allows users to easily edit columns and add custom breakpoints in mobile layouts, two features not found in the plugins covered thus far.

Visual Composer

Visual Composer is another drag-and-drop page editor for WordPress that may be an attractive alternative to Elementor. While the two programs share many key feature, they both have different quirks that may push the user to adopt one plugin or the other.

Visual Composer is at an advantage of Elementor when it comes to deep Backend editing features. However, the backend editor for Visual Composer takes time and effort to dive in to, which makes Elementor a better choice for beginners and novices, while Visual Composer is a better choice for those that are more experienced with web design.
